How do you use Cola Nut?
Cola Nut (Cola Nitida) comes as 50 grams of powder. Although Cola Nut can be consumed in various ways, we recommend brewing it as tea. Use half to 1 full teaspoon per cup of hot water, let the tea steep for 5 to 20 minutes and mix well. The tea has a slightly bitter taste; use a flavouring or sweetener to make the tea sweeter. Adding half a teaspoon to quark or a smoothie as an extra energy boost during breakfast is also possible.
For optimal extraction of the active ingredients, it is important not to let the water boil when pouring it over the herbs. Water of about 90°C is ideal: allow boiled water to cool for a minute or two before using it. A well-sealed teapot or mug with a lid helps to retain the volatile compounds during steeping.

Where does Cola Nut come from?
The Cola Nut (Cola Nitida or Kola Nut) is the fruit of trees from the Cola genus, primarily the species Cola acuminata and Cola nitida. These trees are native to the tropical rainforests of West Africa, where the nuts have played an important role in local culture and medicine for centuries. This plant, related to cocoa, can grow up to 20 metres tall. The Cola Nut is traditionally used in social and spiritual ceremonies as a symbol of respect, friendship and hospitality. Today, the Cola Nut is still valued in herbs and dietary supplements and is an important export product from Africa. An interesting fact: Cola Nut was one of the original ingredients of the well-known soft drink (coca) cola.
